What programs and services are offered? Community mental health teams Our community mental health teams provide individual and group rehabilitation services in the areas of personal life, leisure, education and work.
Our services involve the client and, if appropriate, their significant other and family members. Individualized mental health screening and assessment Rehabilitation goal-setting Basic support access to activities Rehabilitation readiness assessment exploration of service options, building confidence Rehabilitation processes assistance with goal achievement Referral to other services and advocacy Geriatric psychiatry outreach team Our Geriatric psychiatry outreach team provides comprehensive geriatric psychiatry assessment and treatment.
Our program is intended for patients greater than 65 years old and suffering from dementia, delirium, disruptive behaviour, incontinence, failure to thrive as well as those with increased risks of institutionalization.
Some of the services we provide are: Individual counselling Family meetings Group sessions Youth living in Richmond and Vancouver, aged 30, are eligible for our program.
We also work with families of people who are experiencing psychotic symptoms for the first time.
Assistance with treatment, housing, living skills, financial management and health care is provided in addition to supervision of court orders. Our programs serve clients over the age of 19 who are diagnosed with a major mental illness and experiencing significant problems that interfere with their functioning in the community.
